ki-a (transitive verb) to cut up; to split, saw, chop, chip. ibesi ngesi akito: she/he is splitting fire-wood. aibet akituk: to be ready to cry; to sulk. aisibet: to make to split, chop, saw, chip. cp. aireb: to cut (hair, clothing, etc) with scissors; to cut vegetables with a knife ready for cooking.
